PACHAMAMA CACAO

Pachamama Cacao comes from PERU. The original “food of the gods” consists 100% of the resistant CHUNCHO variety, which means WILD in Quechua; it thrives in the biodiversity of an intact jungle.
NATURAL SUPERFOOD IS A BLESSING FOR MODERN EVERYDAY LIFE.
Cacao Chuncho takes you back to a time before the Incas. Indigenous peoples drank the natural superfood every day, prepared pure with water – why? A cup of Pachamama Cacao contains a wealth of valuable nutrients, activates a clear focus for work and sport, strengthens the sixth sense for creativity, the arts, yoga, meditation and sensual togetherness. In everyday communication, the natural superfood sensitizes the perception of HEART POWER: a conscious heart presence is the basis for respectful encounters with fellow human beings, animals and plants. Awareness of one’s own heart coherence is the inner compass for mindful action that is in harmony with the cosmos.

SONQO works together with the farmers’ collective “Cacao Chuncho Syntropico Peru” from the Cusco region in the province of Quillabamba and provides the families with free training in Syntropic Jungle Care. The producer in turn combines traditional craftsmanship with a good intuition for innovation and a big heart. His product has already been honored twice (2020 & 2022) with an international cocoa award. The following features characterize the Pachamama Cacao:

Plantations with hybrid varieties are harvested several times a year: The Pachamama Cacao is harvested only once a year in the rhythm of nature. The regional soil type, the optimal microclimate and the gentle harvesting and processing by hand guarantee excellent quality.

ceremonial grade

The high-quality food of the gods complies with numerous labels and certifications relating to sustainability and social commitment. However, SONQO consistently refrains from using any of these labels on its packaging.

SIMPLICITY IS WHAT MAKES NATURE SO PERFECT.

SONQO’s non-profit-oriented circular economy does not focus on currently fashionable and subsidized aspects of ecology and social issues. The Pachamama Cacao is produced in a holistic way according to Peruvian cosmology (see picture): Nothing is added to SONQO’s ancient superfood and equally nothing is removed – its natural perfection gives it the best “ceremonial grade” quality: the high content of healthy fat opens the heart. For indigenous rituals and cocoa ceremonies, certain spices are also added to the food of the gods. With this recipe ultimately opens up all energy centers. Mental transformations are possible through the natural superfood and the physical body.

Cacao info

With the following information, SONQO simply wants to inspire you to get in touch with the Cacao Chuncho. In addition: experiment and create your own individual relationship with the wild-picked superfood.

THE CACAO TREE BELONGS TO THE GENUS THEOBROMA (GREEK FOR GODS FOOD) IN THE MALLOW FAMILY.

STORAGE: Cacao likes room temperature at 18-20 degrees. It matures like a wine and requires fresh oxygen. We therefore recommend storing it in a glass jar with a cork lid or in the cardboard box supplied. We cut the entire blocks into small pieces and then put them back into the cardboard box. This way you can easily take out a heaped tablespoon (approx. 20 g) of the food of the gods at any time.

CACAO PROVIDES A LOT OF IRON, MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM, VITAMINS, FLAVONOLS, THEOBROMINE AND TRYPOPHANE, WHICH FORMS  SEROTONIN AND GENERATE HAPPINESS HORMONES.

RECIPE – DAILY CACAO: The heart opening is most effective if you drink your cacao early in the morning at sunrise. However, you can also enjoy a cup of the foods of the god during the day. SONQO recommends taking 1-2 cups of hot water first. At the same time, heat a cup of water (2.5-3 dl) in a pan, remove the pan from the heat when the water is close to boiling point and add approx.  20 gr. of Pachamama Cacao to this. Stir gently and allow the cocoa to melt and thicken into a creamy drink. You can season the cocoa as you wish and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, date juice or birnell.

We only use hot spices such as chili or ginger for ceremonial cocoa. A Daily Cacao should only contain hot spices if you are actively moving through dancing, breath work or sport immediately after enjoying Cacao.

Milk: SONQO recommends not preparing the cocoa with milk (not even plant milk). Milk dampens the effect of opening the heart. Indigenous peoples have always enjoyed cocoa pure with water.

THE GOLDEN CENTER BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG IS ENJOYMENT.

Cacao enjoyment: Drink your Pachamama Cacao in sips in a pleasurable atmosphere, because when you are stressed, for example, your heart opens up into stress. When you are angry, it opens into anger. So take the time you need and create a constructive moment for your heart to open.

AN OPEN HEART LIKES IT SIMPLE AND EASY.

A cup of Pachamama Cacao in the morning is usually enough to keep you going until lunchtime. If you do feel hungry or crave a snack, we recommend dates, fruit, berries or nuts. In any case, drink water, herbal tea or fruit juice regularly.
