The textile “AYA” shows a structure of the master healing plant from the Amazon and its frequency.
The textile is very decorative. In the Peruvian Amazon, these embroideries are used for plant rituals. The Shipibo community uses the craft to make the frequencies of the master healing plant visible. Their structures are full of harmony and evoke devotion, gratitude and joy of living when viewed.
At SONQO you will find offers for the preparation and/or integration of ayahuasca rituals. With SONQO you can travel to the Amazon after careful preliminary clarification and preparation in order to experience rituals there on site
The Shipibo are an indigenous people from the Pucallpa region in the Peruvian Amazon. They have a rich culture that has developed over centuries. Their connection to nature is deep: they use plant healing as one of their traditional practices to treat illness, boost energy, perform spiritual cleansing and communicate with the nature beings in the jungle. Today, the Shipibos also share their traditions and wisdom with people outside their community.
SONQO strives for a circular economy and win-win-win at all levels. Everyone involved, as well as the environment, should benefit from our joint efforts. It therefore goes without saying that price-suppressing mechanisms such as middlemen are excluded. The embroiderers receive a wage they can live on, and they receive it in cash.
