Chanting Eastern mantras has become popular in this country. Many people appreciate the peaceful power of the ancient syllables. It is less about their meaning than about the vibrations they trigger when they are actively spoken or sung. Did you know that QUECHUA is also full of mantras?
Quechua is still spoken in Peru today. There are still many communities in the Andes that do not speak or understand Spanish and only Quechua. On the one hand, the language barrier is great for them and the connection to the modern world is difficult, on the other hand, they are the guardians of this ancient culture. This is invaluable. SONQO means HEART in Quechua. When the mind understands the meaning, romantic images immediately come to mind. But let go of all the images, say SONQO out loud and feel the sound of the mantra! Feel and sense the clarity and consistency that resonates in the sound of SONQO. Say the syllables out loud repeatedly. Can you perceive the clearly aligned power in the sound that moves into space and into the cosmos?
MUNAY is also an important key term in the Quechua language. MU is the affirmation of a deep desire that goes beyond the needs of a single individual. NAY refers to an intrinsic want or an active desire. Pronounced together, MUNAY means the beauty of unconditionally flowing love.
But what does unconditional really mean in this context? Unconditionality does not mean accepting and tolerating all actions. If actions, statements or even thoughts are not unifying and do not lead to unity, then it takes courage and civil courage to draw attention to this. But the Andean people follow the experience that the person or group acting destructively is not helped by being exposed and punished, but by MUNAY: remembering and reconnecting with the all-connecting love that is not directed at anyone or anything, but flows like the wind that refreshes the entire cosmos every moment.
Munay meditation helps us, especially in challenging situations or more intense phases of life, not to lose focus of the beauty and power of free-flowing love and to be able to consciously perceive it again and again: then it also becomes easier to recognize where worldly stories stand in the way of the free flow and where learned or conditioned knowledge blocks love. Munay meditation always begins with ourselves first: we observe the breath through the nose, then our bone structure, our organs and the entire physical body as the first important unit(BODY). Then the observation continues to the relationship with the parents, the family and other social connections up to the unity of humanity(HEART = SONQO). And from there the observation continues to the animal kingdom and the plant world: what classifications has the mind learned there? And how do I experience all these connections from the flow of love when the stories and knowledge are released? Finally, the observation leads to unity with a single cosmos(SOUL).
Munay is the heartbeat of the universe that lets you experience body, heart and soul in harmony.
